    Getting it Together

Whether you own just a bag full or a studio's worth of cosmetics, a functional way of organization is key. I had so many random items of makeup that I FINALLY had to get it all in a place where it wasn't scattered around. So with help from Target, a few screws and Moscato, I came up with my first makeup area!

Check out my video on the 'Tube on how I organized my makeup setup. If you have any suggestions or recommendations please feel free to let me know!

LoveHate Type of Day // MAC Venomous Villains Collection

I try to make it a point to always AVOID the MAC store when I go to the mall, but that's like trying to stop Pookie from smoking crack. So, as I did my mall laps, I found myself at there. Looking at the same products that were there last week (Yes, I have a situation, I'm fully aware) one of the MAC Pros asks me if I've seen the new products for MAC's latest launch line. When I say I pulled myself back like I got slapped and just stared at her, I was so honored! "Since you're a preferred customer, I'll show you the preview for the Disney villain line" she says. Way to butter me up b*tch. *sigh* Annnnd it worked. I walked my ass to the back room where they had the setup for the launch.

And so my love/hate relationship intensifies.

Just when I think I can kick the habit, MAC go 'head and do something like this.

I INSTANTLY fell in love with the Sleeping Beauty’s Maleficent collection. Being that it's my favorite Disney cartoon, it all but made sense. But honestly, the mineral eyeshadows are to DIE FOR!!!

    I need this one!! ^

All in all, the packaging is awesome and the collection as a whole is really exciting. The best product they had was the "Magically" cool liquid powder. When I took a swatch of the powder, it instantly felt like it was wet. Effin.Cool.Ish.

The collection launches on Sept 30th. Get in line and get a hold of these cause you know they gonna sell out!!!

Also check out Temptalia for more details on the whole collection!

    Face Forward: Cocoa Delight

I was at home playing in my war paint, when I saw a commercial of the Kardashians *insert hard eyeroll* come on. Even though I feel them hussies can drive into a wall with no vehicle, I DO like their staple smokey eye look that's appropriate for any time. So I decided to give it a try and make it work for the dark gals!

    Eyes:
    • Base: L'Oreal HIP cream eyeliner in Brown (blended past crease)
    • Lid: Matte black from 28 Neutral Pallet
    • Crease: MAC Handwritten
    • Highlight: NYX Highlight
    • Waterline: MAC Graphblack
    • Eyeliner: Wet & Wild Mega Liner in Black
    • Lashes: Ardell Demi Wispies

    Face:
    • Brows: MAC Stud liner & MAC concealer in NW45
    • Primer: Monistat Chaffing Gel (sounds yucky, but great stuff!)
    • Foundation: Makeup Forever HD foundation in #178 set with MAC MSF in Deep Dark

    Lips
    • NYX Coffee lipliner & Cargo Oceania quad lightest pink

    Cheeks
    • MAC LoveRush

Ugh, my cheeks look like I went a round with Tyson.

Ahh better...Aww damn, look at my shiny forehead!!

    In the natural light
    Enjoy!

Great Coverage For a Great Price

Great scoop for you gals that love make-up but are fed up with not finding the right foundation! Here's the back story: so the other day I was in the BX here in Germany and I was on the search for the new Covergirl foundation that claimed to be "full coverage" *side-eye* Before I left, a divine voice from the heavens told me to walk over a check out the Smashbox counter, you know, just to get some information about my skin tone. Most foundations that I was using had a yellowish tint to them after I would applied them, and those that claimed to be full coverage would fail in "covering." The saleswoman understood my frustrations and began to look at my skin complexion and the tone of my skin. She then placed in my hands the miracle jar!!!

Its was called Dermablend! A full coverage foundation in a small jar...She put it on and when I tell you it worked wonders, believe me, it really works! All of my blemishes were hidden, it was not overpowering and thank God, there was no overbearing odor. Finally, a light weight perfect matching, full coverage foundation!!

From that day, this is all I have used!!! I went on the Smashbox website and couldn't did not find it, but with the help of my aunt, I have found it!! Just click here for it!!

Smashbox also carries a setting powder that is available in 3 colors that will guarantee you 16 hours of smudge proof foundation!! I have both of these products and will promise you, you will not use another foundation ever again!!! Even if you don't have blemishes but would love to have a smooth coverage, this is the foundation to keep in your make-up bag!!

    Simplistic Savings: Cherry Culture

I am truly mad about makeup (trying to become a pro makeup artist, MUA for short), so I'm always trying out new products just to see their quality and also just cause I'm a closet online shop-a-holic. LOL! But anywho, I was perusing the world wide web and found out that Cherry Culture has great savings going on! Get on it!!!

Click HERE for Cherry Culture site.

    *pause*
For those not familiar with these guys, they offer a hodge-podge of makeup lines for good prices. They sell lines such as L.A. Colors (great pigments!), Sugar cosmetics, MILANI and my ultimate fav: the almighty NYX!!!!! I've ordered from them multiple times, and shipping is pretty standard to the US and I've never had any problems with em. And best of all, to our international readers, they ship worldwide & to APO/FPO! Hellz yeah!
      *un-pause*

As I was saying, right now the site also has a 20-50% off sale on selected items. Also, on the regular, Cherry Culture has special offers on items and they have free shipping for orders over $40 to the U.S.
