Passion for Poetry // Lady Love: If I...

This poem is from a very talented young lady I know in the San Antonio area that goes by the name of Lady Love.  This particular poem caught my eye just from its title, If I...   It's inevitable that in relationships, whether it be a new or old relationship, this term will be used.  We've all said it.. and heard it.  The thing that amazes me, is that we never know what the results will be after the "If I..."  We expect the best, but prepare for the worst most times... So what's one to do, other than ask If I...?  Huh.. just some randomness before I let you get into the poem!  Great job, Lady Love, keep the poems coming! ////

If I hugged you,
would you never let go?

If I kissed you,
would you cherish that moment?

If I reached for your hand,
would you gently take mine?

If I needed a shoulder,
would you let me cry on yours?

If I needed to talk,
would you really listen???

If I needed to scream,
would you do it with me?

If I needed to go,
would you come with me...

CS Poetry // The Woman I Am

African American Women Suffrage Walk, Philadelphia, PA 1939

The links of courage
Made a chain
That cannot be broken...
The hands that make
Each golden link
Left me a priceless token.

My heritage has been the shield
That kept me strong & free
The woman that I am today
Now walks victoriously.

CS Poetry Faves // Secret Fantasy

I want you
Oh, yeah I do
I want to touch you
You’re my secret fantasy

My lips itch with anticipation
Eager to know every inch and curve
Your every sweet spot

I need to hear you moan
I long to see you throw your head back
Suck air through your teeth
Can you moan for me?
I speak that language too

I want to lick you
Suck on your nipples till they buzz
Yeah, this is going to be a long night

I want to please you
Tell me what makes you hot
Let me be your fantasy too

I want to tease you
Make you frantic with need
Make you oblivious to everything
Except for the throb that controls you

I want to be your release
The name you call
The face you see
When you finally let go

I want you to shake
The way I do
When I think about touching you

I need to see the face you make
When you cum for me
Like you’re in pain, but not

I need you to need me
Seek me out
Hold me close
I want you to want me

A Moment of Reflection...

It's amazing the things you find when you're cleaning... This is a poem, a great friend of mine wrote back in college. We lost touch for a minute, but thanks to the beautiful world of FB, we managed to hook up again...

More to come from P. Andre.. Enjoy!

//REFLECTIONS//

As I put life on pause.... take a look in the mirror
looking in his eyes the vision may appear to be clearer
I see his STRUGGLE
I see his PAIN
I see his HUSTLE
I see the RAIN
He embraced when nobody would trust him.
Now a grown man, trying to run..
Just learned to stand.
Fighting the evils, brushing the shoulder of the reaper.
Look into his mind..
Let's take a look even deeper
I see his GOALS
I feel his SOUL
I'm watching his FOES
I feel his gangsta, I see his P&Q's, he stay on his toes
I see his ROAD,
the effort he makes to carry the whole load.
Them haters trieds to stop him but the boy said Oh NO!
He just might be too STRONG.
After all this bull shit, he still last this long.
It ain't about who's hot or who can write the fastest song.
It's about what's REAL.
When I take a look in the MIRROR
that's the only ONE I FEEL

Love Poems // Untitled & Unknown

like roses under heavy books
i'll press your kiss between my thighs
and i'll give it a name like....
*sigh*
and i'll hold on to it
for dry spells
and rainy days and such
and smile my secret smile
twirling sunflowers between my fingers
sipping raspberry tea
with a gardenia in my hair
'cause like roses under heavy books
i'll be holding your kiss
pressed between my thighs

... A Hard Thing to Do...

just in one of those moods, you know?

I Forgive You
by Jill Scott
(from The Moments, the Minutes, the Hours: The Poetry of Jill Scott)

I practice
I open my mouth wide for the "I"
Stick my bottom lip in for the "for"
Touch the roof of my mouth with my tongue
For the "give" and get stuck
"I forgive you"
I practice
Looking in the mirror for honest eyes
And a relaxed way when the words come
She didn't mean it I say
She didn't know I say
But you knew
You're so smart
You knew that this trouble would bubble in me
That I would need to pass this gas
You knew my pant size would climb
You knew my limited sleep would tense
And ultimately I would do it
I would forgive you
But I hate you for knowing me so well

My Simple Plea: Haiku for You

This is just something I wrote on my "sticky notes" in my phone one day: I was mad at a certain someone.. but I like it. And the picture fits the topic all too well.

Please, come back to me
my love. Miles apart but not.
Please, come back my love...
